Countess Anna Livia Hexencallen arrived in Santa Barbara in 1867 under mysterious circumstances. No death certificate has ever been found bearing her name. Sightings of Hexencallen have been reported in the Santa Barbara area for the last 150 years.

Out of the Box Theatre Company
Out of the Box Theatre Company is a nonprofit community theatre company dedicated to bringing contemporary musicals to the Santa Barbara stage. They strive to make use of local talent, bringing together some of the top performers, musicians and designers in the Santa Barbara community in order to present entertaining, edgy, and socially relevant shows that fall outside of the common expectations of musical theatre. Founded in 2010, Out of the Box has produced a total of 26 musicals in Santa Barbara—22 of which have been regional premieres. Coming up next is Alanis Morrisette's Jagged Little Pill at Center Stage Theater from November 14-23, 2025.
Konrad Kono
Konrad Kono is a music educator, pianist, composer, camp director, and performer with 30 years of experience teaching children music in the Santa Barbara community. “Mr. KONO”—as he’s known—is a master of the keyboard with a rich musical background spanning many genres including classical, jazz, Latin, blues, pop, soul, hip-hop, gospel—and his own wildly original style. His infectious energy and magnetic stage presence pull audiences into his world, where laughter, singing, and spontaneous clapping are all part of the experience. When Konrad Kono sits down at the piano, people gather around because they don’t know what to expect, and that’s half the fun.

Piano in the Sky
Piano in the Sky is an innovative performing group formed to push the bounds of music and movement. With a fully functioning grand piano lifted into the air, their artists are able to move through the sky and play music in unique ways.
Consisting of Russell Woo, Brittany Sprung, and Kevin Wellens, Piano in the Sky strives to build creative realms and tell emotional, thought-provoking stories around the world.
